Angelic Thoughts

Hi all, Dorinda here today with my inspiration.

As Christmas draws near, we begin to really think about our blessings; those we hold dear,
helping others, even having a home.
I'd like to think I appreciate my blessings year round.
I am truly blessed with my family and friends.

So, today I'd like to share a little Angelic Fairy with you.

This is DoveArt Studios, Fairy Ella.
She is so fragile and precious.

I hope she adds a little blessing to your day.

Big Hugs,
Dorinda

Dreams Do Come True

Hello everyone, Nic here to show you one of the new stamps.

I have chosen to use the new Castle stamp.  I have created this card in honor of my daughter, Madison's, love for Disneyland.  It brings back special memories of her very first visit to Disneyland when she was a little girl and she was scared of all the characters but Cinderella.  I still remember the look of awe on Madison's face when she met Cinderella and the kindness that Cinderella showered upon her.  Her love for this magical place, that allows everyone to dream big dreams, keeps on growing and for that I am grateful!

Here is the picture that inspired my card...isn't it dreamy?!

Copic Colors Used:

Castle ~ T0, T1, T3, T5, T6
          B21, B23, B26
                    Y00, Y11, Y15, YR23
Greenery ~ G20 G21, G24
Pathway ~ W0, W1, W2, W4
Water ~ B21, B23, B26
Background ~ Y04, B23, B26, RV34

Supplies Used:
Clear Wink of Stella Brush Pen
Liquid Gold Opaque Paint Marker by Deco Color
Scotch Quick-Dry Adhesive

To create this card, I first colored the Castle with Copics on Hammermill Color Copy Digital Cover, 100lb. and then did some fussy cutting.  The background is created by using the airbrush machine with Copics on glossy cardstock and then spritzed with 91% alcohol in a Mini Mister.  I wanted to really give the Castle a lot of dimension, so I popped the castle up by using a double layer of foam tape.  For the finishing touches, I used my Big Shot to cut out the word, dream, from white cardstock and added some sparkle with my clear Wink of Stella brush pen; and I couldn't resist using these chipboard mini stars in three different sizes from Make It Crafty.  I first colored them gold with my Liquid Gold Opaque Paint Marker and added that extra sparkle with my clear Wink of Stella brush pen.

I am so thrilled how this card turned out and I hope it gives you inspiration to dream big dreams!!!

Mountain Song

Hi all,

Andrea here today to share this card I made using the gorgeous New stamp 'Mountain Song' it just oozes tranquility so the sentiment 'Life is Beautiful' from the 'Perfectly Beautiful sentiments stamp' was a perfect match for this card.

Unfortunately I don't have a list of Copic marker colours to share with you this time, sorry.
I stamped the image three times and chose to only colour the one and pop it up on top of the other two.  I love how it turned out.

Hop Hop Hop - Egg Hunt

UPDATE:  WINNER WINNER WINNER

Di - diDecember 1, 2016 at 3:32 PM
It's not fair to ask to pick a favorite, that's like asking me which child is my favorite! But nudging to the top of the list is the Horse Barn stamp and the coloring Faye did. I feel like I could drive right by this image on a country road.
Jeminileft - JeminileftDecember 1, 2016 at 6:41 AM

You have outdone yourself with this release! Such a variety! I love them all, and it is hard to label just one as my favorite! If I am forced to choose one as my fav.........then it would be....the Castle.

Egg Hunt Background and Through the Window are my favorites! Awesome hop to highlight these beautiful new designs! Gorgeous creations, and I enjoyed visiting the blogs of these talented ladies on the DT!

Congratulation ladies!!  Everyone left such inspirational and sweet comments.  Thank you for being apart of the Hop!  Winners can contact Christine with CCDesigns to claim your prize at christine@ccdesignsrs.com

We hope you enjoyed the hop and the new release from CCDesigns and DoveArt Studios.  If you are just starting on the DoveArt Studios blog be sure and start at the beginning and follow the links below to multiply your chance at winning a new release stamp of our choosing.

This hop featured 12 new stamps ranging from Easter, Southwest, oriental, in the woods, magical and country.  Something for everyone!  We really hope you were inspired!

I had fun coloring Egg Hunt background.  I know its hard to think Easter quite yet but I thought I would make this available to you early so you have time to create something fabulous after the dust settles from Christmas.  Plus by now you might be tired of coloring everything red and green and need some color in your life.

This stamp is a full background stamp that can be cut down, cut out, popped up, colored monochromatic with color pop and so much more.  I colored it twice and cut a layer out of one image to pop it up in the center and give it dimension. I know it is hard to see in the photograph.  It is a very therapeutic image to color...like adult coloring but better!

Country Porch

Hello and welcome back to DoveArt Studios!  Rhea here today to share some inspiration with Jennifer Dove's New Release Country Porch.

This was such a fun image to color up!  And really represents the area where I live so I felt like a was coloring a part of my small country town.  I admit I used a ton of Copic Colors for this I couldn't even begin to list them all.  I just went with what I was feeling and it was wonderful to lose myself in this amazing image.

Christmas with the Harvest Wreath

Hi Everyone,

Just popping in to share my project featuring the Harvest Wreath Rubber Stamp

I thought I would try water coloring the stamp and used my Derwent Inktense pencils. I love how vibrant they are but I definitely need practise!

I thought it would be fun to create a funky background so I used a Tim Holtz splatters stencil and inked it with distress inks layering up all the colours as I moved the stencil around and then I used a mini mister to wet it to help the colours mix and soften a little.

To tie it all together, I fussy cut around the image so I could pop it up, and then finished with a sentiment and a few little embellishments.

Thanks so much for stopping by and be sure to add the  Harvest Wreath Rubber Stamp to your wishlist for this year's Christmas cards!

Winter Lake

This image was super easy and fun to color up.  The perfect Christmas card I think because we can mass produce them.  I kept the layering simple for just that reason.  Thinking outside the box i brought in color combinations of blue, green, purple and a tad bit of peach.  Fun huh?!  This stamp is now available at CC Designs as well as your local stores.

I love doing it but wish I had more time.

This gorgeous scene has certainly produced some beautiful produce and blooms.
It's just soothing to look at.

This image is called Garden Bench.

I did write all colors down. There were tons and then I misplaced the list.
I do apologize.

Here is Lookin' at Yah!

This was super fun to make and I am always looking for stamps that work with masculine cards...this one was PERFECT!  I combined it with a few other DoveArt Studios stamps too.  I am putting links right below for a quick and easy access to the store.

After coloring this cute guy up I fussy cut him out (which was easy to do).  I stamped the trees and quickly colored the background up.  I added a little Stampendous chunky white embossing powder to the trees just by sprinkling it on top and heading below.  A little edge distressing and POW! man card DONE!  This would also make a fabulous Christmas card too don't you think?

Holiday Collection Release

HOP CLOSED WINNERS POSTED

Welcome to the last stop on the CCDesigns/Doveart Studios Holiday Release.  We so appreciate all the lovely comments you have left for all the Dove-Artistic DT!  I hope you have enjoyed all the inspiration.

Introducing the holiday collection!!
Featuring 8 NEW stamps from
DoveArt Studios Collection

We are very excited about each of these new stamps and we know you will want them all!!!
Thank you all for the sweet comments.  We are so glad you loved the release!! The winners are posted here.  You can contact Christine to claim your prize at christine@ccdesignsrubberstamps.com

I like that you did pastels; it took this stamp over the top. The moose is probably my favorite, however, just like a child in a candy store, I want them all.

This Blog Hop was wonderful! I love the new releases!!! I don't know how you could expect us to pick just ONE stamp as our favorite. I want them all!!!!

Love the way you did this one too, Jenn. Goodness, so many really beautiful images to choose from. I would have to pick the Cardinal Birdhouse as my favorite since I love to color red bird images, followed closely by Making A List since I love presents and hope I am on that list! You are just so talented :)

Here is what I have created:

For this super cute stamp (with so many possibilities) I thought I would do something very outside the box.  I used some fun Copic colors and a water brush with alcohol in it (NO, I am not drinking!)...rubbing alcohol silly!  I am totally in love with this card and think I will have to keep it!

Copics:
R81 R83
G40 G43
BG72
E43 E44

You can find this new stamp HERE, as well as the sentiment set I used.

For your chance to win...

1.  Did you visit each design team member's blog (Blog roll below)?

2.  Did you leave a comment on each blog?

3. Did you arrive here at DoveArts and leave the name, or names of your favorite stamps in the release?
