Thimble and Thread

It's Barbara here sharing part of a project I made using Thimble and Thread. When I cut the image out, I didn't want fussy cut around the thread but I didn't want all the white in there too.  So I decided to cut it off and thread it for real instead. I used a craft knife to cut the eye of the needle then use Baker's twine for the thread.

Here are the Copic markers I used:

Lily Pad

This is Barbara and for my card today, I used Lily Pad by DoveArt Designs. Even though there are flowers, I thought I would create a masculine card so I picked out some papers with greens and browns.  I also used some Balsa wood in the layering to bring in some natural elements.

Tall Cactus

Howdy!  This is Barbara and for this card I've used DoveArt Studio's Tall Cactus rubber stamp.  I was looking for a soft male card for a graduation so I chose colors that were less bold.  Then I doodled around the stamp to give it a border and created a simple card.

Boat Harbor

Bonjour! This is Barbara and I've created a birthday card using DoveArt Studios'  Boat Harbor stamp. I wanted to color a little bit of water and these boats also allowed me to add in some colors.  The cheese cloth was used to symbolize a fishing net.  I still see cheese cloth but I think that's because I made it.  LOL

Here are the Copic markers that I used for coloring:

YG25, 63, 17, G28, 24, 40
B91, 02, 04, BG 34, 10, 11, 13
E23, 41, 27, 31

Country Shed

I set out to create a card but ended up with an envelop instead. This uses the Country Shed rubber stamp and it was stamped on balsa wood.  I planned to add a little color but the balsa wood started to disintegrate so I ditched that idea and went with a monochrome focus.

I did, however, manage to color the leaves with Copic colors E11, E23, E25 and YG93.

Hope you enjoy this tidbit of inspiration.
